Kingston is a mixed market — house sales lead, but only narrowly, with 207 sales (up 3.5%) at around $776.5k (up 4.1%) as of July 2026, taking about 22 days to sell (down from 31 days last year), one of Tasmania's most in-demand house markets, with 3-bedroom homes making up around 55%.

House rentals are close behind, with 146 leases (down 2.7%) at $655 a week (up 10.1%), renting out in about 14 days (up from 13 days last year), one of the most sought-after house rental markets in the country, with 3-bedroom homes making up around 65%. Then come 112 unit sales at around $660k (up 6.7%). 103 unit rentals at $560 a week (up 8.7%), with renters showing up in numbers across the country.
