Most of Darlinghurst's recent activity is unit rentals, with 764 leases (down 14.8%) at $770 a week (up 3.4%), renting out in about 15 days (down from 17 days last year), one of the country's most in-demand unit rental markets, with 1-bedroom the most common at around 60%.

Unit sales make up a much smaller share, with 273 sales (up 9.6%) at around $1.029M (up 17.1%), taking about 25 days to sell, among the most sought-after unit markets in NSW, with just over half being 1-bedroom. Followed by 173 house rentals at $1,045 a week and 68 house sales at around $2.874M.
