Most of Newtown's recent activity is unit rentals, with 542 leases (down 9.2%) at $655 a week (up 0.8%), renting out in about 15 days (down from 16 days last year), one of the country's most in-demand unit rental markets, with around half being 1-bedroom.

House rentals follow closely, with 385 leases (down 10.9%) at $980 a week (up 3.2%), renting out in about 17 days (down from 20 days last year), one of the most sought-after house rental markets in the country, with 2-bedroom making up about half.
