Most of Sydney's activity is unit rentals, with 1,458 leases (down 4.1%) at $1,050 a week (up 6.6%) as of July 2026, renting out in about 21 days (down from 25 days last year), among the country's most in-demand unit rental markets, with 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom roughly tied at around 45% each.
Unit sales are a much smaller second, with 369 sales (down 4.9%) at around $1.084M (up 2.8%), taking about 61 days to sell (up a lot from 51 days last year), with 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom roughly tied at around 45% each. Rounding it out, 73 house rentals at $1,080 a week (among the country's strongest house rent gains).
