Haymarket property market

Most of Haymarket's activity is unit rentals, with 750 leases (down 1.2%) at $1,200 a week (up 4.3%) as of July 2026, renting out in about 22 days (down from 27 days last year), more sought-after than most unit rental markets nationally, with around half being 2-bedroom.

Unit sales are a much smaller second, with 174 sales (up 10.1%) at around $975k (up 0.1%), taking about 65 days to sell (up a lot from 48 days last year), less sought-after than most unit markets, around half are 2-bedroom. Rounding it out, 16 house rentals at $1,125 a week (one of the country's least in-demand house rental markets).
