Waterloo is mostly a unit rentals market — house activity is almost zero, with 1,198 leases (down 0.7%) at $990 a week (up 3.7%) as of July 2026, renting out in about 22 days (down from 23 days last year), among the country's most in-demand unit rental markets, with 2-bedroom making up about half.
Unit sales are the only other notable market, with 351 sales (up 5.1%) at around $928k (down 3%), taking about 30 days to sell (up from 29 days last year), with just over half being 2-bedroom. Then come 75 house rentals at $1,000 a week (among the country's biggest house rent drops). 24 house sales at around $1.607M (one of the country's strongest house price gains).
